Growing up on the edge of St Andrews, golf has been part of my life from an early age. The excitement of The Open coming to town, with the chance to see some of the world’s best golfers up close, sparked a love for the game that’s stayed with me ever since.

Now living in Northern Ireland, I’m still surrounded by truly world-class courses that draw golfers from around the globe.

After years of enjoying the game and having the privilege of playing with golfers from all walks of life, it felt like a natural step to launch Gorse and Thistle - to share the magic of golf in this part of the world with you.

I’ve always loved golf and the people you meet through it. For me, it’s the perfect way to switch off from the pressures of daily life. After years in high-pressure jobs, I took the chance to travel across Ireland, playing some of its finest courses and soaking up everything that makes them special.

As your tour host, my job is simple—to make sure you have the best possible experience. Whether it’s sharing local insights, keeping things running smoothly, or just enjoying a good laugh along the way, I’m here to help make your trip unforgettable.

When I’m not hosting, you’ll usually find me on the course or in a cosy bar enjoying a proper pint of Guinness—though I’ll wait until you arrive so you can decide if it really is the best.

I’ve played golf all my life, but it was through my travels across North America and the friendships I built in the golf industry that I really came to understand what makes the game so special—its history, its people, and the incredible places it takes you.
